MARKET FOCUS

A BEEM customer beside a newly installed residential rooftop solar system in India
Launched in 2025, our residential solar business BEEM made strong progress in Q1 2026 – strengthening its digital presence, improving customer acquisition, and expanding market adoption across India. Recent milestones demonstrate meaningful momentum in both customer experience and business growth. BEEM successfully launched its redesigned website with a customer-first digital experience focused on education, trust-building, and conversion. The refreshed platform, which introduced a Hindi-language version to improve solar accessibility and adoption for regional and non-English-speaking customers, positions rooftop solar as a compelling long-term investment while simplifying the customer journey. Key enhancements include a modern visual identity, simplified navigation, educational content, an interactive Solar Savings Calculator, mobile-first responsive design, faster performance and smoother browsing experience. Following its launch, the new website has delivered encouraging results, signaling stronger purchase intent and a more effective digital acquisition engine. BEEM continues to expand its market presence, and is now present in multiple states, with further expansion plans before the end of the year. The upgraded platform has created a scalable base for future growth and continued innovation. India’s comprehensive government rooftop solar program aims to power 30 million homes, with more than 11GW already installed.
FINANCIAL OUTLOOK
As a triple bottom line company addressing people, planet and profit, financial results are a critical success factor for Husk, but so is impact. With support from Swedfund and the World Bank, the company has now established an impact measurement framework that can scale as the company scales. Working with impact platform Leonardo, Husk initiated regular qualitative surveys of existing customers in India and Nigeria, as well as quantitative surveys of communities pre- and post-deployment of minigrids. In 2026, the World Bank is also supporting Husk to conduct a randomized controlled trial (RCT) of isolated minigrids in Nigeria. To date, Husk has benefited more than 2.2 million people, connected more than 66,000 customers, avoided over 80,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions, and demonstrated significant improvements in livelihoods – across job creation, increased wealth and well-being.
INDUSTRY LEADERSHIP

Husk receives a Future Energy Leaders Award for technology innovation
CEO Manoj Sinha was asked to join a select group of industry leaders on the Mission 300 Private Sector Council, to help the World Bank and African Development Bank mobilize the billions of dollars in investment needed to connect 300 million Africans by 2030. The Future Energy Leaders Awards recognized Husk as a “Technovator” for its growing influence in delivering scalable, tech-driven renewable energy solutions across underserved regions in Africa and Asia. Learnings from India and Nigeria also informed a powerful thought leadership article from industry leaders, including Husk’s CEO, on how India and Nigeria are charting a new path that “must integrate distributed and centralized systems, make the most of AI-enabled tools, and send credible signals that entice private capital, while avoiding “incremental efforts or one-size-fits-all models.”
